Johnny Cardoso was injury while playing for the United States and will be out for about 2-3 weeks.

Real Betis have been dealt a blow from the United States camp after Johnny Cardoso was report to be out for two to three weeks with a hamstring injury sustain in the 1-0 win over Jamaica in CONCACAF Nations League A.

Cardoso start the trip to the Reggae Boyce before being withdraw in the 21st minute with the 23-year-old midfielder suffering an injury. It was later report that the player had suffered a hamstring injury in his left leg. And would be out for around two to three weeks.

That has become a major problem for coach Manuel Luis Pellegrini as Real Betis are enjoying a run of seven games in all competitions. But Cardozo’s latest injury will have a direct impact as Betis are left with just one holding midfielder in Sergi Altimira.

As per a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms. The 23-year-old has been diagnose with a hamstring injury:

‘Following the assessment and tests carried out by the USA team’s medical services on our player Johnny Cardoso. It has been confirm that he has a moderate muscle injury in his left femoral biceps. The recovery period is pending development.’
